According to The Motley Fool, Intel plans to dub the third series processor 10 nm with the name Tigerlake. The third generation of a family of 10 nm that allegedly would incorporated in Icelake and Cannonlake in 2017. In his report, the financial website also lists the processor launch schedule 10 nm i.e. Cannonlake and his successor Icelake. With the latest rumors about the Tigerlake the total amount of this family there are three.
If the estimate of the schedule that is preached by The Motley Fool is true, then Cannonlake will be launched in the second semester of 2017. Cannonlake represents the cycle of the tick or a new fabrication technology in number 10 nm, whereas Icelake entry in the cycle of tock by presenting a new mikroarsitektur. However, Tigerlake, which has been rumor as a new Member of the family of 10 nm, could not be included in the cycle because it brings the scale tick the same fabrication process. It shows the difficulties faced in fulfilling the production of two Intel products in the order cycle tick tock every two years.
